Team
- John Wall
- Creative Director and Co-founder
- John is an accomplished art director, copywriter and a DJ with over 20 years experience. He has a Bachelor of Arts from Sydney University where he majored in Computer Science, working as an analyst / programmer for three years before deciding to do what he was really interested in. He is responsible for the look, feel and sound of Fuzzy, which includes music strategy, trend forecasting, brand positioning, artwork, ticketing and customer relations.
- Ming Gan
- Business Director and Co-founder
- Ming holds a degree from UNSW in Commerce (finance) and has worked as a senior developer in property. He formed Fuzzy with John in 1996 to pursue his interest in music and youth culture after they met in a dodgy inner city club where John was the DJ and Ming was the lighting operator. He is responsible for maintaining all relationships with international artists and agents which may seem like a fun job until you realise the role includes counselling, property advice, fashion advice, dating agency, cleaner, fishing buddy and best friend.
- Adelle Robinson
- Director and General Manager
- Adelle holds a Bachelor of Media majoring in Media Production and Cultural Studies. Prior to life at Fuzzy, Adelle worked for various nightclubs around Sydney which is where she met John and Ming, therefore completing the holy trinity of DJ, lighting operator and doorgirl! Adelle oversees all of Fuzzy’s events and operations including venue, government and stakeholder liaison, event planning, site layout and management. In her spare time she keeps the office plants alive and sings heavy metal karaoke.
- Jade Mackenzie
- HR Manager
- Jade makes everything warm and, you guessed it, Fuzzy in the office. A friend from way back, she’s been a frequent host, merchandise manager and model for our previous events – she featured in the first Kinkidisko ad and sported various outfits in the Killer fancy dress party ‘Country Club Murder Mystery’ flyers. We rescued her from a job in the corporate world looking after Performance Management and HR and now, armed with undergraduate and post graduate degrees in Psychology, she’s on board as our HR Manager, running the office, overseeing recruitment and internal staff development, as well coordinating all the casual staffing for our major events.
- Josh Chapman
- Senior Production Manager
- Josh had been freelancing on our major events for about five years in between working on other things such as Fashion Week and David Jones parades, when we decided we needed him all to ourselves. He has a Certificate in Music Industry Studies and a Certificate in Advanced Music Technologies but, more importantly, a friendly disposition when sent new technical specifications (for the 10th time) for major artists the night before Parklife Sydney! In his spare time he likes to take sunrise swims at Gordon’s Bay, read his way through the world’s best novels and refine his freighting skills.
- Meagan Harrison
- Finance Manager
- Meagan was slugging it out in a large accountancy firm when we saved her from a life of tax returns, group certificates and BAS and gave her a life of tax returns, group certificates and BAS.….but with a great office soundtrack! She has a degree in Accounting and is studying to become a CPA. She runs the accounts department with Tom and also oversees bar financials at our festivals. Meagan proved she had what it takes when three days into the job she joined us for office karaoke and performed an amazing rendition of Mystify by Inxs.
- Anand Krishnaswamy
- Touring Manager
- Anand has a double degree in Business and Law from UTS and as a result applied for a job working at Fuzzy – as far away from the world of corporate law as possible! He now co-ordinates the touring department with Ming combining his obsession with music blogs and knowledge of contract law to negotiate water tight contracts with the hottest new acts. His latest side projects include making t-shirts for the likes of Justice & Busy P, frequent trips to the Nation's Capital and carving a path of destruction in clubs all over town as part of the CSB dj collective.
- Erin Morrissey
- Senior Project Manager
- Erin was a NIDA graduate sharing her time between the States and Australia before she found a venue management role at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney. When the possums, trees and harbour views became too much for her she moved to a role at OpenAir Cinema where she dealt with possums, trees, harbour views……..and movies! We borrowed her from the cinema in their down season and haven’t been able to give her back! Erin now event manages Parklife Sydney and Field Day as well as project manages our chosen charity, Heaps Decent.
- Katrina King
- Senior Event Manager
- Katrina returns to Fuzzy each year from the corporate events world to produce Parklife Brisbane, Adelaide, Hear and Now and various other major Fuzzy events. Katrina has previously worked as an event manager at the RAS and the Hordern Pavilion as well as contracting for companies such as Redbull and Microsoft. Fuzzy promised Katrina all the excitement that comes with working on major festivals – she didn’t quite realise that would mean flying to Brisbane 20 times a year!
- Terri Cohen
- Event Manager and Touring Assistant
- Before Fuzzy she started studying a Bachelor of Arts at Sydney University but decided to enter her “dream job” in fashion PR. Exiting after a year she learnt that there are nice happy dreams and.... then there’s fashion PR. After a starring role front and centre of the crowd at several Fuzzy events she decided it was time to get paid for her constant involvement and now she runs most of our club shows as well as some of our major outdoor events. The multi-tasking Terri also works in the touring department co-ordinating the back end of all the tours as well as implementing the event requirements for the artists. In the past this has included sourcing blow up animals and baby pools as well as the elusive blue M&M!
- Briton Smith
- Senior Designer
- Hailing from our fair neighbour New Zealand, Briton travelled the world after completing a double degree in Marketing and Design and then decided to make Australia home. Not only responsible for co-ordinating our entire design department and some of our favourite marketing campaigns of the past year, Briton is also an aspiring DJ. The way him and Anand wrestle for control of the office stereo has us all wondering how long it will be until they join forces and start taking over the decks of Sydney.
- Radge Ratsaphong
- Designer
- Radge holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Photo Media and is the newest addition to our stellar design team. After finishing Art School he did a stint at Parliament House as their Artwork Officer, installing, maintaining and updating works for our nation’s capital. Whilst this equipped him with a new found appreciation for the inner-workings of bureaucracy, risk management and safe OH&S practice, it was his freelance work for the likes of Oyster Mag and various local artists and nightclubs that propelled him to where he is today. We love Radge most for his unique designs, mean layout skills and not-so-secret stash of turkish delight, burger rings, cheetos and twisties.
- Rochelle Livingstone
- Marketing Manager
- Rochelle left London in 2004 for a holiday in Thailand, whilst there decided to move to Sydney and hasn’t left since! Having marketed various venues around Sydney including Ladylux, Bungalow 8 and theloft we knew she could handle the job but it was the regular meditation and yoga teacher training that really sold us on Rochelle, she can keep the whole office calm. Rochelle has an Advanced Certificate in Marketing, studied at London College of Fashion and has a passion for supporting new trends..........from Coconut Water to Vivienne Westwood gumboots. Watch this space for what comes next.........
- Tom Howell
- Accounts Manager
- Tom has an Honours degree in Economics and previously worked as a business analyst as well as being one of Sydney’s busiest DJs. Now, as well as DJing, he oversees our event accounts with Meagan and also produces music for himself and other Australian musicians. Our longest serving staff member, Tom remembers the days when we only had two other employees , a ramshackle office on Bathurst Street and when a large event meant 1000 people turned up........he has also got some funny stories about John, Ming and Adelle.
- Courtney Duddleston
- Accounts Assistant
- When we were looking for an accounts assistant the main attributes we wanted were: someone currently studying accounting, ability to multi task, exposure to often incoherent clientele in noisy situations, and precision and accuracy. When Courtney applied we were pleased to see that she was in the middle of a Business degree at Western Sydney majoring in accounting. Tick! The first requirement was fulfilled. We soon found out she was also the eldest of SIX children and that she often had to help run her large and very young household. Another tick - her ability to multi task was instantly made very clear! We thought exposure to incoherent clientele would be something harder to find but when Courtney told us about her part time job at the Shire institution “Northies” we immediately thought ‘this could be the one!’. Precision and accuracy are difficult things to judge in an interview. Fact is, we like our accounts department to run like a well oiled machine though - you’d almost say like a military operation – so when Courtney told us her boyfriend was in the Army we knew we’d found our girl!
- Patrick Cook
- Event and Logistics Co ordinator
- Pat came to us as an intern while he was studying event management at APM. Before we knew it he was building our new storage room, setting up our events, stealing artists riders and fashioning new site crew uniforms. He is known for his pink Dunlop volleys, hilarious office emails about collecting the mail and his large collection of gold stars. Pat now assists Adelle, Josh and Terri on our events and festivals as well as co-ordinating all our event freighting.
