A year of big moments, and the new chapter ahead.
From the Harbour lights to the sand at Bondi, 2025 was a major chapter in Fuzzy’s history. More than 50,000 people attended our events across the year as we continued to deliver large-scale live music experiences in Australia’s most recognisable locations.
As we close out the year, we are marking a major transition for the organisation: founding director Ming Gan will retire at the end of 2025, and Adelle Robinson has been appointed CEO.

2025 highlights
Listen Out enters a new era, NYE is back in Bondi and we find home by the Harbour.
Listen Out enters a new chapter
Listen Out was reimagined this year as Listen Out Presents, focused on one-off shows in spectacular locations. We brought Mochakk to Fleet Steps, with the Opera House and harbour lights as the backdrop, and welcomed Meduza and Gorgon City back to Australia under the Listen Out Presents banner. Looking ahead, Disco Lines is already heading Down Under for a sold-out Sydney show next year, plus Melbourne, with more to come.
Bondi Beach
Bondi is a huge part of where Fuzzy started, and where we’re headed. 2025 was set to be a defining year for what large-scale music moments could look like by the sand.
We announced elrow Bondi Beach XXL, created in collaboration with our friends at elrow, the global party brand known for immersive production and theatrical, high-energy event worlds. The event was set to be Sydney’s biggest New Year’s Eve party, alongside Locals Lawn, a free family zone. Both events have since been cancelled following the tragedy that unfolded earlier in December, however when the time is right they will return and we will come together once more.
Australia’s most iconic shoreline will take centre stage next February with the arrival of Golden Hour and Mighty Hoopla Sydney.
Built with our UK pals, Mighty Hoopla Sydney is set for 21 Feb 2026, bringing Kesha, Becky Hill, Rose Gray, Countess Luann, Aussie faves Delta Goodrem and Jessica Mauboy and more to 15,000 people live on Bondi Beach.
Sydney’s newest Summer ritual Golden Hour will turn Bondi Beach into a sunset celebration of live music. Headlining the inaugural edition are Crowded House, joined by acclaimed singer-songwriter Thelma Plum, for a landmark evening honouring Australian music in a setting unlike any other.
Our home by the Harbour
If you have ever watched the sun drop behind the Opera House from a show at Fleet Steps you know why it has quickly become one of the most special venues in the country. All in one weekend Fleet Steps saw another sold-out Harbourlife show, Olivia Dean grace the stage and Hot Dub on the Harbour take us on a journey through time.

The team behind the moments
A run of shows like this does not happen without the people who build it. Earlier in 2025 founding Director John Wall wrapped up with Fuzzy following decades in the industry, with Ming’s retirement and Adelle Robinson stepping into the role of CEO, the team has evolved into the foundations we need for the future.
As part of the transition into the next chapter of Fuzzy, Daniel Florian will step into the role of Head of Touring, overseeing touring and artist bookings as Ming steps away. His experience from both the artist and promoter perspectives, and his deep relationships across the scene, make him a natural fit to lead touring.
Jake Troncone and Georgia Rae joined the team as Head of Marketing and Marketing and Communications Executive. Jake joined from Sydney Mardi Gras where he led festival marketing and communications through COVID, Sydney WorldPride and beyond. Georgia, also from Sydney Mardi Gras, brings a strong background in PR, communications and marketing.
In finance, Wayne Blanch joined as CFO after serving as Head of Finance at Australian Associated Press, with Shangari Rajendra also joining the finance team.

The road ahead
Thank you Ming
After nearly 30 years in the industry, Ming will retire at the end of 2025.
Ming co-founded Fuzzy in the 90s and has spent three decades shaping the organisation’s identity. Across the years he curated and booked artist line-ups for festivals including Field Day, Park Life, Shore Thing, Listen Out and Harbourlife, all while helping pioneer major milestones in Australia’s live music industry.
Ming’s greatest thrill has always been discovery. Finding artists early, backing them before the world catches up and giving audiences that moment where you see someone on the rise and know you were there at the start. His support of Australian artists has been unwavering, and his influence can be seen across the many local acts who began on Fuzzy stages and later returned as global headliners.
From all of us at Fuzzy, thank you Ming. Your work helped shape modern Australian festival culture and built a platform that countless artists and audiences have grown up with.
Adelle Robinson appointed CEO
As Ming steps away, we are proud to announce Adelle Robinson as CEO, leading Fuzzy into its next chapter.
Adelle is Fuzzy’s Managing Director, and has been part of the Fuzzy story from the beginning, spending more than 25 years helping shape Australia’s contemporary live music landscape. Adelle steps into the CEO role at the dawn of a new era for Fuzzy. One defined by building bigger moments, and continuing to put artists, community and unforgettable live experiences at the centre of everything we do.
Starting 2026 with Field Day – celebrating 25 years of Sydney’s favourite NYD celebration
We are heading into 2026 with Field Day, one of the defining fixtures on the Australian festival calendar. The upcoming rendition also marks 25 years of Field Day, a milestone that reflects not only the longevity of the event, but the generations of artists, crew, partners and fans who we have built it with and for.
