Australia’s most iconic shoreline will take centre stage next year with the arrival of Golden Hour… Sydney’s newest Summer ritual. The event will turn Bondi Beach into a sunset celebration of live music. Headlining the inaugural edition are Crowded House, joined by acclaimed singer-songwriter Thelma Plum, for a landmark evening honouring Australian music in a setting unlike any other.

Golden Hour will take place over the grass, parking and promenade in front of Bondi Beach. All tickets are standing (including VIP), please familiarise yourself with the prohibited items list before attending.

What You Can't Bring Into The Event

The following restricted or prohibited items are not permitted by patrons into the event:
– Glass bottles or cans including perfume and makeup;
– Any liquids including alcoholic beverages, e-cigarette liquids and sunscreen pump bottles;
– Illicit drugs;
– Aerosol products;
– Knives or other dangerous weapons including potential missiles;
– Flares, fireworks or sparklers;
– Lasers or laser pointers;
– Animals or pets (other than assistance animals);
– Professional recording or broadcast devices without the promoter’s permission;
– Drones or other airborne recording/photography devices;
– Flags with poles, large flags or banners that may obstruct the view of other patrons;
– Any item that you intend (or such quantities of the item from which Management can reasonably infer that you intend) to distribute, hawk, sell, offer, expose for sale or display for marketing or promotional purposes;
– Large items including picnic baskets, eskies, drink coolers or ice boxes;
– Umbrellas;
– Plastic sealed or opened drink containers (only empty reusable water bottles are allowed into the event);
– Metal drink bottles;
– Food;
– Chairs and stools (including foldable chairs);
– Any dangerous goods;
– Any backpacks or bags over the size of an A4 piece of paper, or determined by Security as oversized;
– Any other items as determined by Security or Management that may cause injury or public nuisance;

Medication under the following conditions may be brought into the event:  
– Must be in its original packaging/untampered
– With a label/script that matches the ticketholder ID name
– Only a daily dosage is permitted

For patrons with extreme food allergies, food may be brought into the event under the following conditions:  
– It is wrapped in clear plastic wrapping
– You can provide a doctor’s note or medical form showing proof of allergy

Her 2023 album I’m Sorry, Now Say It Back reaffirmed her standing as a singular talent in Australian music, weaving personal reflection with emotional depth. The record built on the success of her acclaimed debut and years of touring across the country, marking Thelma as a vital, enduring voice in the nation’s contemporary soundscape.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and select Concession Card holders are able to enter for a chance to purchase one General Admission (standing) ticket for $99.90 plus booking fees.

Successful entrants will receive a code to purchase one (1) General Admission ticket in December 2025 and will have up until the day of the event to purchase tickets.

Golden Hour visual identity was created by Warumungu/Wombaya artist Jessica Johnson. Jessica is a designer, artist and owner of Nungala Creative.

Nungala Creative is a 100% Aboriginal owned and operated creative communications agency. Established with a community facing focus the agency prioritises contemporary design, originality and collaboration, producing innovative content with a distinct Aboriginal  voice.

Jessica attributes her creative practice to her late father who was a contemporary Aboriginal artist and a political activist. As an artist, Jessica works across mediums and methodologies. Renowned for her experimental aesthetic, Jessica uses her work to address issues of injustice and celebrate culture and people through her recognisably bright positive aesthetic.
