FAMILY ZONE
Locals Lawn Family Zone is a free New Year’s Eve celebration created especially for the local community. Set adjacent to elrow Sydney XXL, the space will feature family-friendly entertainment, roaming performers, food and drink, plus plenty of room to gather with friends and family and watch the 9pm fireworks.
This year, Locals Lawn will be located at the southern end of Bondi Beach Park, between the Skate Park and Icebergs, bringing the NYE atmosphere to one of Bondi’s most iconic stretches of coastline.

Entry is free, but tickets are essential.
Tickets to the Locals Lawn Family Zone will be distributed via a ballot. In the event where we have more ballot entries than space, 2026 residents will be drawn first at random, followed by Waverley Council postcodes, then other eligible postcodes at random.
Eligible postcodes: 2022, 2023, 2024, 2026, 2029, 2023, 2030, 2031 and 2034
Is Locals Lawn free?
Yes! Tickets to Locals Lawn are free, but they must be redeemed via the Ticket Ballot.
I had a ticket for the 2025 event, do I get priority access?
Yes – the Ticket Ballot will open for 2025 Ticketholders first.
Entries will be open for the 2025 Ticketholder Priority Access ballot from 12pm AEST 17 Sept – 11:59pm AEST 1 Oct.
Entries will be checked against the list of 2025 ticketholders to confirm eligibility.

When does the Ticket Ballot open?
The Ticket Ballot opens for 2025 Ticketholders first.
Entries will be open for the 2025 Ticketholder Priority Access ballot from 12pm AEST 17 Sept – 11:59pm AEST 1 Oct.
These entries will be fulfilled on 2 Oct.
Entries will be open for the Local Resident Ticket Ballot will open 12pm AEST 6 Oct – 12pm AEDT 31 Oct.
These entries will be fulfilled on 1 Nov.
How do I redeem tickets?
If you’re successful in the ballot you will be required to redeem your free tickets. If you do not redeem your tickets by the cutoff date, they will be returned to the pool for another entrant to redeem. Successful entrants will receive an email with a link for tickets to be redeemed.
How does the Ticket Ballot work?
You can submit a ballot entry when it opens. You’ll need to nominate how many adult (18+) and child (under 18) tickets you would like. Please note all under 18 ticketholders must be accompanied by a guardian.
The ballot is open to people who live in eligible postcodes only, everyone who will receive a ticket from your entry must also reside in an eligible postcode.
Successful ballot entrants will be selected at random from the 2026 postcode first, then at random from the remaining Waverley Council postcodes, and finally at random for those who reside in neighbouring postcodes.
Tickets are very limited, so when successful entrants are notified they are then required to redeem their tickets. If tickets are not redeemed by the cutoff date they will be returned to the pool for another entrant to redeem.

Where is Locals Lawn?
Locals Lawn will take place in Bondi Beach Park, between Queen Elizabeth Drive and Notts Avenue, adjacent to the elrow Sydney XXL celebrations.
Can I move between elrow Sydney XXL and Locals Lawn?
No – there are no pass outs for either event and they are operating separately.
Can I get tickets for Locals Lawn for my friends who don’t live in an eligible postcode?
No – all Locals Lawn ticketholders must live within an eligible postcode.
Can we watch the fireworks?
Yes! Locals Lawn will have views of the fireworks at 9pm, food trucks, bars and roaming performers.
Can I bring food and drink in?
No – Locals Lawn is a licensed area with food and drinks available for purchase. Please note ticketholders will be subject to the Locals Lawn Conditions of Entry.
Can I bring a picnic blanket?
Yes, picnic blankets are allowed and encouraged. Please note chairs of any kind are prohibited.
Can I bring food and drink in for my baby/toddler?
Yes – exceptions to prohibited items apply for essential baby and toddler items. Parents and guardians may bring nappy bags, feeding supplies and prams/strollers into the event at the discretion of security. For any questions, please contact info@fuzzy.com.au.

Is Locals Lawn accessible?
There will be an accessible toilet and an accessibility staff member on site. Please note the Locals Lawn event takes place in a park that has very limited pathways and is located on a hill. There are some flat sections of the park for those who need a more stable surface, while we try to reserve space for those who need it for accessible requirements, this space is limited.Please be kind and mindful and take care of your fellow neighbors.
